You've found your way to the boards of TAS and friends.
TAS started as a small, mainly family kin located on the Laurelin server of the game Lord of the Rings Online, or just LotRO for short. The kin went through many changes in it's life span, expanding to include friends and then changing to become TASandfriends, a loose collection of people from all different kins on the server who's one aim in life was to relax and have fun ingame and in general.
It doesn't matter what your kin tag is, you're welcome here friend!

HMC is a very small heavy rping guild located on the Hyrkania server in the game Age of Conan. Or AoC for short. It was formed when a group of TAS friends migrated to the game and decided to stick together in one guild. This guild too went through changes, ending up being rebuild and recast as the heavy merchant themed roleplaying guild it is today.

That's not all!
Aside from these two main TASandfriends guilds in these games our members play various mmos and other types of games and gaming. You name it we've probably played it or are playing it right now. We aim to have this forum and site as a place where TASandfriends can come together, even if they move to different games, and keep in contact, talk about interests and be social.
People from all walks of life are welcome, you don't need to be a member of the original guilds, just a friend. All games are welcome to be discussed, along with non pc gaming, such as PnP and wargaming. Also encouraged are off topic discussions, providing a social and friendly atmosphere for us all to gather and keep up the bonds of friendship.
Here comes the sting....
We do like a few rules and guidelines to be followed when joining and posting on our forums.
1)No spam please! A pretty universal rule for forums. For this reason we tend not to allow member rights to just anyone who joins without knowing who they are. If you are a friend of TASandfriends and join, then just post in the SoS forums to let us know who you are.
2)Play nice! We're all friends here so there should be no need for flames, anger or harsh words. If you have a problem with a fellow poster then drop a nice note to one of the kin/guild leaders and we'll try and smooth things out.
3)Act your age! Most, if not all, of TASandfriends are over the age of eighteen, so sometime there is stuff containing strong language and more adult content posted. Just in case though warning should always be included at the top of such posts and if you do happen to be younger please respect these warning and do not read further.
Apart from that...
The main aim of these boards is a group of good friends having fun! So if you fit the bill then welcome and join us.
